Privacy policy

Edz Central and the Life Record Android app · Effective 6 October 2026

Edz Central (including its Android app, Life Record) is a personal project run by Edwin Roosevelt. This policy explains what data it collects, how it uses Google user data, and how you can remove it.

Data you enter

Everything you add yourself: diary entries, notes, photos and files, trips, transactions, accounts and the bank SMS messages the app forwards. It is stored so the app can show it back to you, and is used for nothing else.

Google sign-in

If you sign in with Google, Edz Central receives your name, email address and Google account ID. They are used only to create your account and sign you in.

Gmail data

Connecting Gmail is optional. When you connect it, Edz Central asks for read-only access (gmail.readonly) and your email address. It never sends, deletes, labels or changes your mail. It uses this access for two things only:

A refresh token is stored on the server so this can happen in the background. It is never shown to the app or to anyone else.

Who processes your data

Your data is not sold, is not used for advertising, and is not shared with anyone else, except where the law requires it. Google user data is not used to develop, improve or train generalised AI or machine-learning models. No person reads your email unless you ask for help with a specific message, or it is needed for security or to comply with the law.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Edz Central's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Keeping and deleting your data

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to the servers and database is limited to the developer.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
